To ensure the refound of the material in case of damage it is important that:
Sign the courier POD subject to a specific damage reserve.
The latter cannot be generic (“Reserve of Control”) but, by law and constant doctrine, it must have a specific indication (“Damaged Neck/Laundry/Crushed”) and be known to the carrier at the time of delivery next to the POD signature.
Keep the outer and inner packaging as you received it until the next contact to allow inspection of the package by the courier’s expert to ascertain its responsibility.
Take photos of the package, the outer and inner packaging, and the damaged goods.
